On these pages you will find elaborate information about search
engine registration.
Usage of lower-case and capital letters, spelling and search
words priorities.
There are only a few search engines (two per June first 2001),
which distinguish between lower-case and capital letters. The vast
majority of users use only lower-case letters. We would therefore
recommend that you only use lower-case letters. You should avoid the
following scenario:
golf courses, Golf courses, Golf Courses, golf Courses, GOLF
COURSES, GOLF courses, golf COURSES.
It can, however, be a good idea to spell search words
differently. Especially search words many are reluctant to misspell.
An example could be:
golf corses, gulf korses, golf kourses.
Please note that the most important search word should be
mentioned first. The search engine returns the results in the order
they have been prioritised on the site. The site that has the
highest match is also ranked the highest. Therefore, you should
always mention the most important search words first.
